Nagoiiuma, P Yamamoto lf at first you don't succeed, try, try again, a saying though old must have been in the hearts and minds and themes of each and every member of this yeor's Cru- sader Business Staff, It was through this vigor, energy, and fighting spirit of the staff that this yearbook was published. In November, the drive for patrons was officially Opened, their goal 552,500 Each member of the staff at once set to work canvasing Honolulu and outlying districts. lt was a bitter and morbid struggle for at times it seemed as though their goal might not be reached, but true to loyal students of Mary they came through and finally succeeded. This success was made possible chiefly through tho work, guidance, and cooperation of Richard Murata, Larry Ozaki, and Brother Joseph Hoffman, faculty ad visor. It was through the constant pushing of teacher and leaders that results were had. With Brother Benedict Wengler as advisor, the boys worked both energet- ically and efficiently. The purpose of this club is to get the boys better acquainted with the business world. The boys also come into direct contact with business firms as well as up-to-date office machines. The annual Commercial Club Banquet was held at the Queen's Surf in January, l95O.
