gil, Kafholic, ' Probably no other campus club has helykd us more in Our Quest than the Sodality. Through this organization our lives have been enriched and our ac- tions have been made Catholic Acticn. Every project that the club undertook was for the honor and glory of Mary. Gne of these projects was the selling of Feligious Christmas cards to emphasize the Catholic atmosphere of Christmas. The money from the sales was turned over to purchase goods for the Missions in Iapan. Another project which the Sodahty can be proud of was the Chaminade Tableau produced under Father Thomas Hogan. The nine-scene tableau depicted the life of Father William Chaminade and brought to the student body a better appreciation of the Founder of the So- ciety of Mary. Highlight of the year's activities for the Scdalists was the feast of Qur Lady of Lourdes when forty-two new members were installed in a religious ceremony in the school chapel. This years Sodality was divided into three groups. The Senior Sodality. com- posed of seniors and juniors, was headed by Father joseph Sherry and officers Herbert Ho, Clarence Yoshino. Paul Noto and Robert Hutchison. Brother Herman Fien took charge cf the sophomores with Iohn Kuapahi as president. -gaffwzzeym . . Jlmfzus It's Friday afternoon, and the Collegian deadline approaches! Late into the evening, the St. Louis Collegian editors work in a united spirit to meet the dead- line. The school paper brings the Business M literary and journalistic minded a 9'f cam students together on a very im- V-ileZ,,Sf 'f', gm portant activity in school life. ec aallfelfennern ' .. Published bi-monthly, the Collegian collects and fo'-ffof?ff,'Zf'S and M publicizes the events in every division, the 'e' '39ing Ed, school projects, and keeps each class informed 'to' of all the school news. Under Brother Adrian Keoho, advisor, and Herbert Ho, editor-in-chief, man- aging editor Charles Lum, news editor Gaylord Beckley, and sports editor Dan- forth Chun, the staff produced an All-Catholic publication. Interesting features by associate editors Robert Hutchison, lames Alves and Charles Choy, tireless photographic effort by Daniel Yee were evidenced in every issue. Paul Noto was business manager. In Ianuary, the paper gained a fresh lien on life as the ambitious crop of juniors and sophomores stepped in to replace the seniors. Kenneth Gomes heads this new staff with Valentine Chun as managing editor. Henry Kaneshiro took over the sports department while Edward DeCorte and George Beckley share the news editor position. Calvin Chun becomes business manager and Francis Demain, circulation manager. Reporters Young, DeCorte, Beckley, Dias and Kaneshiro take dawn their assignments.
