I f The financial side of the year was ably handled by business manager Iames Shimoku and patrons manager Yumon Chang, directed by Brother George Ruby, faculty advisor. Because of the increased prices, this department had a tremendous task in raising funds for the under- taking of this yearbook. They overcame this difficulty. Their success reflects their interest as Weil as their ability. All the members of the staff deserve credit, but special Commendation is due to Iohn Dolim who collected the largest proportion of the financial returns. Always present to do the work were two top assistants, Robert Hutchison, associate editor, and Ernest Lam, executive editor. Charles Lum headed the activities staii and was responsible for most oi the write- ups as well. The sports department was ably handled by Clarence Yoshino. Daniel Yee headed the important pho- tography department, assisted by Henry Yim and Wallace Sumida. Edwin Asato did his share as Art editor. Members of the activities staff were Paul Noto, Charles Choy, Kenneth Chona and David Sasaki. Known among the students as the Duckys, the cafeteria staff, besides doing the daily chores, have often decorated the dining room on special events as before important football games and have made the and Miss Satsumi Nishiwaki. 105 1-5 cafeteria a social gathering place. The always gaily- decorated ice cream corner was a favorite counter with the students.
