ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL: Andrew Droen. PRINCIPAL: Frank Miller. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL: Richard Wainio. With the pass no credit grading system, the student had a choice The many controversies over the grading procedures were ended with the introduction of the pass no credit system. Sophomores, juniors and seniors were given the option of selecting one course each semester on this basis. A student received a P when he had successfully completed all the required work. This was equivalent to a grade in the A to D- range. In the traditional program of letter grades, an N , a distinct change from an F was given when unsatisfactory work was done. An N , unlike an F , would not be computed in class rank, which meant that other grades would no longer be affected. Results of its appeal were seen in the number of students taking pass no credit classes first semester: 170 sophomores, 212 juniors and 280 seniors. PRINCIPAL: Bertil Johnson 19
