The club was more unified Lmder the leadership of Mrs. Dorothy Waldmeier. The of- ficers really got the club moving. A guest speaker from McNeese visited school to give a talk on engineering The club in turn participated in Engineering Day at McNeese. Roy Price was invited to give a talk on the stock market. Then due to the club's interest, Mu Alpha Theta visited the stock exchange. 46 The 1975-76 Spectre Staff consisted of 13 hard- working people, In September, 8 of those people didn't know a 3-R from a cropper. Therefore, it was the duty of the 5 experienced staffers to teach them everything they knew about putting out a yearbook. This was accomplished by starting from scratch. In almost no time at all, there were 4 girls running the streets to sell ads, and the remainder of the staff putting out at school. Devotions, peanut butter cookies, skipping records, staying at school until 11:30, a laughing editor, Dear Miss Taylor, and a gre at staff MADE our yearbook. Mark Johnson Ronald Emke Consuela Colston Nanette Noland, Double Ruby Winner FL This year, the National Forensic League was en- dowed with many outstanding members. Nanette Noland, the Pres. -Treas. of the club, was the first person at St. Louis to receive her double ruby twice. The club was very active in speech tournaments all over the state. Here at St. Louis, they hosted a high school speech tournament in November and an ele- mentary speech tournament in May. Angie Gigur and Nanette Noland qualified for the National Catholic Forensic League Tournament held in Detroit. They will represent the Lafayette Diocese.
