Landry Memorial Library Club The Landry Memorial Library Club en- couraged tlie use of the Landry Library and served the school by improving the library service. The members acted as library assistants by checking books in and out. The members furnished some books for Boys Village. They also attended the L. T.L.A. Convention. Science Club The Science Club encouraged students ' partici- pation in science, educated students in using opportunities, and offered opportunities for stu- dents to state or national science institutions. The club sponsored a fund-raising dance and also the yearly Science Fair. They also took a field trip to NASA, the Houston Zoo, the Plane- tarium, and the Lake Charles Weather Bureau. In all, the Science Club had an interesting and successful year. Mrs k Do you think he ' ll hit the nail this time? He ' s only got two more fingers. Mr. Len LeBlanc Boy, I sure wish I could draw a straight line!! Industrial Arts students were involved in Industrial Appreciation Courses ranging from Commercial Arts to the more manual enviornments. Students began their studies by taking Explora- tory Courses and then in the later years specialization was encouraged in line with a career-oriented curricu- lum. Larry Eagle learned many things--like cutting the shop table. 92
