Throughout the year the Social Science Club promoted interest. They participated in the Homecoming Parade, field trips, holiday din- ner of foreign cuisine and sponsored film festivals. They also sponsored the Social Studies Fair for the school. It would look better over here.

Science Club The Science Club encouraged students ' partici- pation in science, educated students in using opportunities, and offered opportunities for stu- dents to state or national science institutions. The club sponsored a fund-raising dance and also the yearly Science Fair. They also took a field trip to NASA, the Houston Zoo, the Plane- tarium, and the Lake Charles Weather Bureau. In all, the Science Club had an interesting and successful year.
