Page 16 text:

I As you page through this beautiful edition of Spectre, we hope that it ' s like a visit to St. Louis High School. We hope that some of the meaning of St. Louis is discernible in the pictures, words, etc. At St. Louis, we believe that everyone has a destiny intended by God, and that we must help each other discover his own. At St. Louis, we believe that each of us counts for something -- that the world must be a better place because we have been in it. Hell, even on earth, is to face old age realizing that the world would have been better if you had not lived. A St. Louis graduate has really been infected by the intended Spirit of St. Louis if at the end of liis her life that graduate will be able to say: Because I went to St. Louis High School, I was not only a good housewife, artist, lawyer, carpenter, doctor, nurse, plumber, police- man, etc. , but what ' s more important 1 was a person who knew how to live, to recreate, to love, to give, to share --a person who knew how to live with myself, with God, with others. Yes, we believe we have it together here, be- cause we know Jesus lives-- and in Communion with Him there can be no discord and dissension that is lasting. MSGR. ROBERT G. ANGELLE, PRINCIPAL
