ST. LOUIS HIGH SCHOOL ST. LOUIS, MICHIGAN Dedication The Junior and Senior High School additions, completed in the summer of 1959, were officially dedicated on November 12, 1959. Mr. Gary Stauffer, Vice President of Northwood College, addressed a large audience in the new gymnasium. Many parents and friends later toured the building, and were served coffee in the high school cafeteria. The association is continually striving to promote the general welfare of the school, while conducting its affairs according to approved principles of democratic government. The Council sponsors the annual homecoming program and conducts the after-game mixers. Other activities include student bulletin board, sports promotion, and semi-formal dances. % Homecoming 1959 The 1960 Cavalcade records the first annual Homecoming at St. Louis High School. The A Cappella Choir is an active part of the high school music department. Any student who has an interest in vocal music is eligible for mem -bership. The choir presents an annual Christmas program, participates in the Class ”B Choir Festival, and this year was host for the 1960 Solo-Ensemble Festival. The Girls' Glee Club, made up of freshmen and sophomore girls, took part in the Christmas and Spring concerts as well as the district vocal music festival held in Owosso this year. Participating in the Solo and Ensemble Festival were a double trio and a soloist from the Glee Club.
