Perhaps He Hears the Beat of a Different Drummer, Let Him Step or Far Away . . . Henry David Thoreau COACH TILROW MORRISON completed his sxith season this year as Head Football Coach for the Saint Leo Monarchs. He has been building the Monrachs into a respected team while at the same time upgrading the level of competition. Coach Morrison has produced six National Football Association All Americans and has had one player selected to participate in the American Bowl. In addition to his football responsibilities, he is also Head Golf coach and a Physical Education Instructor. He attended the University of Alabama receiving both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. He then coached high school football and baseball in both Alabama and Florida. Prior to coming to Saint Leo, he served as head baseball coach for Polk Community College. Coach Morrison, better known as Pops', to the Monarch football team, has been a father to the members of the squad. He has always been available to listen and provide guidance. We dedicate the 1979 Golden Legend to Coach Tilrow Morri- son for his understanding and eagerness to help. We appreci- ate your enthusiasm and thank you. HT.

ROBERT ACKERMAN attended the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh where he completed his Bachelor,s Degree and worked as a Resident Hall Assistant for four years. After a brief term in the navy, he returned to Wis- consin to complete his Master's and work as a Head Resident. Dr. Ackerman then attended Indiana University where he studied in the College of Education Administration Doctorate Program. He was employed there as a Complex Coordinator. After completing his Doctorate he received a position as an Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs at Notre Dame. Dr. Ackerman then came to Saint Leo College in the role of Vice President of Student Affairs. Since his arrival here in 1975, Dr. Ackerman has accomplished much in the area of Student Affairs. He restructured the Department of Student Affairs to better serve the needs of the students. He developed a Residence Hall Staff program with plans to establish a system of Residence Hall programming. Dr. Ackerman maintains close student contact which is the reason for his effective- ness. He is constantly caring and willing to help. We dedicate the 1979 Golden Legend to Dr. Robert Ackerman for his untiring interest and efforts in improving student life at Saint Leo College. We appreci- ate all you have done and truly thank you.
