LAWRENCE SEMINARY MT. CALVARY, WISCONSIN VOLUME 13 -5 my You are not the person you were yesterday And you are not the same person today As you will be tomorrow. Change is continuous. At St. Lawrence that change is constant and evident. We grew and expanded phy- sically, spiritually, socially and academi- cally. True, the growth varied in each, but it was there. For the freshmen the seed of growth began to sprout. They began to under- stand the spirit of the school and take their place in the community. g till ' Q INK fi is ervirg +vR'N gli N ' HABFN ulekoe The seniors took on the role of leaders. They reached the goals they had sought the past four years, only to discover newer and more challanging ones ahead. Together with the faculty the classes made up an effective school community by creating a school spirit that was formed and felt by all. . - p I ,Q Uv-J Evidence of this spirit is seen in the school projects that required the coopera- tion of everyone. Class projects took on a new meaning and were successful because of class pride. Individual growth must have been present, but that can be known only by God and the person himself. For all we can say, To grow is to change, and to have changed much is to have grown often. We think we have seen change in the school, within the classes and in individuals. Knowing there is change, we are assured there has been growth. lt should be that way, and was! E IOR CLASS OFFICERS AFX' ig ...l fTopj D. Foti, fLit.J, S. Voss, fV.P.D, M. Paulus, fPres.l, S. We think not. ' We are different from most of society, but not unrealistic. We have ac- cumulated our Share of troubles and problems, but tended to view them positively - is it unrealistic to be optimistic? We have based our lives on the message of Christ - love. ls love so unrealistic? We have grown, both personally and as a community. Those choosing not to grow with us have pruned themselves, making us stronger still. ,There is a deep sense of gratitude to those who have dedicated their lives for us. For theirs is a fulfilling, but painful, job of removing the masks and barriers we build. We do not wish to insult them by trying to ex- press our gratefullness in words. p is y So, has real people, living in 1a world with a real God, we leave St. Lawrence Seminary, carrying with us the memories of good times and bad. Taking with us the learning, discipline and love that we experienced - those experiences that made us who and what we are. t i R it fRobert Bradyj ROBERT BRADY MICHAEL PAULUS Mt. Once again the Hilltopper harriers hustled home with a conference title. The team lacked experience, with three letter- men, but combined hard work with good bunch rurming to win the title. It was the fifth time in as many years that our cross country team took the Bay Lakes Conference championship. Steve Gilles, a sophomore, lead the game all year with a first place finish in conference and a fifth place finish in state. The prospects look good for next year for a sixth straight conference champion- ship! Keep hustling harriers! S6 I Br. David Schwab, the cross country coach, admires the conference trophy. Untold hours and energy were spent in forming a new constitution that would guide and assist the student in his life at St. Lawrence. The gratitude of the student body is due to those facul- ty and student members of the formation committee who worked so hard and well for a better St. Lawrence . ' The beauty of art is a reward in itself, but it is nice to gain recog- nition. Steve Voss and Bob Brady had pictures accepted and displayed at the University of Oshkosh in a state wide competition.
