Also. as the ritual goes a few hundred new Vikes tlienniesl hop aboard the Viking ship and weather the year's storms for the first time. That first day of sehool, despite it's traditional eonotations, is really for most people a day to renew old friend- ships severed by the summer break and hopefully one to start friendships that will last forever.
