uthnrz 92113 Qui The Mother's Club demonstrated how parents take active roles in their son's education. Led by Br. McNamara, the group's moderator, the mothers got a chance to get together to discuss matters of importance as well as just to have a good time. The mothers met at meetings which covered how they could better assist in their son's education to fund raisers. The Department is divided into in- dividual levels according to year. The Freshman guidance counselor was Mr. Kocher. He also headed up the job place- ment department. The Sophomore guidance counselor was Mr. Kearney. He aided the students with individual problems that arose during the year. The Junior guidance counselor was Miss Anita Erazo. She was especially valuable to those juniors who were considering col- lege at an early time. The Senior guidance level was headed up by Br. Jackson. He aided the prospec- tive college students greatly and provided help for those who chose not to go on to college and enter the working world. Guidance f 27

Jackson preside over a Fathers' Assuming the tuition obligation of a stu- whose father or guardian died while a of the organization, the Fathers' aided the school in many ways. The lub's meetings were held on a monthly asis to assure smooth organization. Moderator Br. Jackson and President Mr. Walter Schiesl directed and supervised the meetings. The agenda for most meetings included minutes from the previous meeting, as well as treasury, membership, and usher reports. Following the reports, various forms of entertainment largely depended on the time of the year. At the Father and Son Night, the guest speaker was alumni basketball star Kevin Boyle. Club meeting.
