An especially talented Viking squad ac- complished what no other team in St. Laurence history had done, captured the District Championship. Riding their third consecutive Catholic League Champion- ship, the Vikings entered the IHSA district tournament with a regular season record of I7 and l and an equally impressive fourth ranking in the State. The team dominated the tournament which was held here at St. Laurence. It succeeded in sending ten Vikes on to the Sectional Championship at Richards. Two Vikes, Keith Healy and Tim Cocco, emerged victorious and journeyed down to the State Champion- ship in Champain where Keith placed second among all wrestlers in state.
