Bottom: Mr. Caliendo checks a schedule to find when an event takes place. The swim team, coached by Mr. Calien- do, had a good season this year, finishing with a record of 8-5. The team took 4th place in Catholic League, and for the first time took third in Districts. The team also did well in invitationals, taking home a third place trophy in both the Leyden In- vitational and the Shepard Relays. Records set this year are as follows: 200 Medley Relay - 1:48.19 - Steve Wasowicz, Stan Widlacki, Mark Kenkel, and Chris Norvilleg Diving - ll0.20, 6 dives, and l83.5, ll dives- Barry Nelson: 100 Backstroke - 1:02.38 - Steve Wasowiczg 100 Breastroke - 1:07.17 - Stan Widlackig 400 Free Relay - 3:30.85 - Chris Norville, Craig Pelligrini, Paul Rathman, and Dave Krueger. Other outstanding performances were by Chris Norville, who was Catholic League Cham- pion in the 50 yard freestyle, which was a first for St. Laurence. Some special awards were the High Point Award - Chris Nor- ville, and the M.V.P was Dave Krueger. Swimming f 165
