The Computer Department experienced very rapid growth. The program expanded to include a second level programming class for juniors. Taught primarily by Br. Verre and Mr. Fowler the program flourished to the tune of great interest and enrollment from the student body. S200,000 was pumped into the massive budget of the new program to equip the room with the latest possible equipment. The physical look of the room itself was also changedg it was enlarged to ac- comodate the rapid growth due to the in- flux of underclassmen. It was a program which inspired unusual interest by those involved, it was not unusual to spot a com- puter student after school for long hours working diligently to complete a program. GN- . . -.
