Before school, wrestlers, swimmers, and foot- ball players were in the weight room working-out. Many students arrived for zero period classes. A typical student's day began by walking, driving, taking a bus or a bike to school. After arriving in school, students entered the crowded foyer, where friends were copying forgotten homework, reading papers, playing guitars, or just catching up on sleep. Many other popular pre-school ac- tivities were playing frisbee outdoors Csummerj, aimlessly wandering the halls Cmost commonj, or for the lucky picking up girls at Queen of Peace. Within academic hours students fed their minds with vast reservoirs of knowledge. Every forty-one minutes clatter and yells were heard in the wings as the students changed classes. After school students moved into the world of extra-curricular activities. Clustered in the gym foyer, on the track, in the weightrooms, publication offices, and just about everywhere else imaginable, they displayed through their relentless dedication a true sense of Viking pride and tradition.
