Many moments of triumph vignette our school life . . . because of our teachers. . . . They express glad tidings upon our successes. With them, through classes and activities, we sing in harmony the songs of contentment. In the slow-beat bailiwick of study or on the shadowed road of failure their counsel offers comforting security. We are fond of our faculty, comprised of thirteen Sisters of St. Francis, whose mother- house is in Sylvania, Ohio. They give us reason for cherishing them with far more than a rippling memory. They present life in its true perspective as they unfurl the full mean- ing of spiritual values. Their teaching tenacity points up to the fact that purposefulness in life and a sense of duty are necessary for the development of the whole man. Our teachers, deeply cognizant of the dignity of the human person, impress us that to uphold this first principle of democracy is to safeguard man- kind. Energized by the charity and truth of Christ, as well as by the close knowledge of the teaching profession, acquired at such insti- tutions of wide recognition as the University of Michigan, Fordham. Notre Dame, St. Louis, Loyola, De Paul and the Catholic University of America, they sanction its traditional sacred- ness. In its complete realization is the crowning blessing of mankind. Sister M.
