Fonewono Education is the right of every rational being. In our four years at St. Justin High School, we, the Class of '59, have received under the tutelage of the Sisters of Mercy, the finest of all educations-the Christian Education. We hope to present to you, in our Annual, evidence of the finished product of this type of education. We wish to exemplify in this year's JUSTlNlAN the principles behind the symbols which should dominate our lives. We open with o Harp, to show that this, and all our works should be a hymn of praise to our Creator. We have represented the Faculty by a picture of our patron, the apologist and teacher, St. Justin. The Seniors are preceded by a picture of a Dove proceeding from the hand of God to show that although they have advanced thus far, the new fullness of their lives is yet to come. Our Underclassmen are represented by an Open Door which may lead them to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Our many and varied activities have been symbolized by incense burning before the altar of God. This signifies that every prayer, work, and action of ours should arise as an odor of sweetness before God.
