Once a composer has finished his work of art, and has found a director capable of treating his masterpiece with the greatest care, he stands looking on, to see how his cherished hope and dreams are brought to fullfillment. Now it remains for the orchestra to do its part in the Master's Plan. Each instrumental section has its own jobto do to make the har- mony of the performance a success. One of the vital sections needed is the violin group. For, without the essential melody of the theme which strings furnish, the remainder of the work is unbalanced. ln such a way we feel the seniors set the pace of high school. Granted they alone do not carry the whole tempo, but theirs is a part whose manner of performance determines how the other instrument sections will follow. We fervently hope that the members of the string section pictured on these pages have successfully done their bit to the harmonious com- pletions of the Master's Work.
