W.u.'1'lik Kl'1.X5'l' REVIEW A SUCCESSFUL YEAR The first test in any field of social endeavor is that of good Sp0l'l.S1l1Llll- ship, and the freshmen passed it with flying colors right at the begin- ning of the year during Initiation Week. Not a bit daunted by the 4'Wea1'ing of the Masks they were the first class to raise their .lust-iw Review quota. And that isnlt alll They won the Stamp Collecting Con- test sponsored by the Juniors, presented some of the best assembly pro- grams, collected books for the school library, and headed a drive to urge students to attend daily Mass more often. They Won second Hclassf' and individual,' honors in the Spelling Bee, and succeeded in topping all classes all year in the number of representatives on the Honor Roll. They edited the Commencement number of the newspaper, and last but not least, they had the unparalleled honor of having a Freshman as first speaker on the varsity debating team which won the l942 trophy.
