SWIMiMING Like other small sports at St. Joseph's, swimming receives neither publicity nor acclaim. The team practices many hours each week, but remains a group of unsung heroes, even in a banner year. This was the case with this year's team, which posted the best statistical record C10-7-lj in St. Joe's swimming history, marking the second consecutive winning season after four losing years. During this season,s meets, the team, led by All-Americans Dan Hagan and Bill Coakley, broke six school records. With freshmen now permitted to compete in varsity events under the new E.C.A.C. rules, the swimming team looks forward to even more successful seasons. First Row: John Cattie, Terry Will, Harry Penniwell, Bill Baldino, Ed Lilly. SecondRow:Coach Frank Keefe, Harold Gorman, Tom Wiegand, Mike Gallagher, Fran Carrol, Dan Hagan, Dave Guerin, Ray McGlaughlin. 140
