Studnicky, R. Kirwan. 466 Again this year the Glee Club carried out its two fold custom-that of singing and traveling. It was just the right combination of these two that found the Club making appear- ances in Reading, Pottsville, Camden, Lakewood, Westmont, and Wilmington. After another triumphant Noel Night at Saint Ioseph's, came more tours taking the Gleemen to the neighbor- ing Colleges of Chestnut Hill, Rosemont, Immaculatta, and Georgian Court. The acclaimed success of the Glee Club may be credited to the outstanding ability of the Club's director, Mr. Herbert Fiss, to choose a well rounded group of numbers for his boys to sing. Mr. Piss is an accomplished violinist who started his musical career before he was seven years old. In the past decade or more he has gained a wonderful reputation through- out the East for his music lessons, choral direction, and orchestra conduction. A true professional musician who does Wonders with a group of inexperienced, untrained voices, blends them together into an excellent choir. The highlight of this season, as in past years, was reached with the Club's presentation on Mother's Day. This again brought another successful year to an even more suc- cessful close. Mr. Herbert Fiss, Director of the Saint loSeph's Glee Club. ....-,Mk 'Si
