and ivin ahelpin handg Sharing with others our Christian ideals. our joys. our goods has been a means of creating a brotherly atmosphere in our exterior dealings with our fellowmen. It has instilled within our hearts. that contentment and satisfaction which has enabled us to see in our neighbors the image of Christ. If our life is to be a life of Catholic action. then charity must be the dynamic factor. Great acts of charity may not come our way. but we are surrounded continually with golden opportunities of giving spiritually, mentally, physically and socially to those who are less fortunate than we. XVe have tried to make our- selves helpful in the many and frequent oc- casions which have been presented. being aware of the motives which should prompt us at all time-s. America will continue to prosper as long as there is that love which demands sacrifice-, Not what we give. but what we share-. For the gift without the giver is bare. and merr -makin , jumping, jiving and light hearted! No better words can best describe our Sunday night dances sponsored by the senior class. Many a cool-cat doing a crazy rock'n roll could be seen faithfully attending these social events. We are very grateful to all the stu- dents who have frequented these dances. True. these were evenings when everyone's company made the gym a place of buzzing busy bees, spreading sunshine and joy to all about. Thanks to the fine attendance these dances helped greatly to defray expenses for the 1956 Lily. Our ties of friendship were strengthened each time thus enabling us to know one another and understand each other. These are important factors which will help us build a good community. These lovely hours will be relived many times as we recall our happy school days and varied activities. Our frequent Sunday night dances opened opportun- ities for friendly chats and interesting conversation while the hours sped by all too soon. fx joseph Benedetto and Kathryn Kcrtz are apparently enjoying a splendid evening whirling lightly to lively recordings which set everyone on their feet ln their formal wear, these charming girls and hand- sfrne men spend an enjoyable evening of gaiety. With hearts swelling with Joy they cherish these happy hours. Q
