UEDIEATIU A MOST FITTING AND OUTSTANDING personage has been chosen for this year's dedication. She is one whose assistance we will need through- out our lives-in times of both joy and sorrow. Especially now, when the Godless creed of Communism has penetrated even the democracy of our own country, do we need her help. She is the only one who can safely steer us through the difficult waters of these times. Here at St. Ioseph's her doctrine has been spread, and as a result all have become acquainted with her teaching and now revere her with the highest esteem. We are grateful for her past care and solicitude, and hope she will continue this needed assistance in the years to' come. She is the only one who is holding back the hand of God from striking with. wrath against the injustices that have been heaped upon Him by an ungrateful world. 1 Thus, as we dedicate this 1950 edition of the Iosepal, we wish to honor the most powerful Mediatrix between heaven and earth-under the title of Our Lady of Fatima.
