Here We Go Again Gee! These halls are bigger than I imag- ined they were. Oh, I ' m so nervous my palms are sweating! These are some thoughts of a typical freshman coming to St. Joe for the first time. Despite some natural nervousness about the first day of school all 221 of this year ' s freshmen seem to have survived remarkably well. To make the transition into high school as smooth as possible Sister Mary Ann and the junior leaders put together an exciting day of orientation. There was a treasure hunt to help the students get to know the school, as well as skits done by the junior leaders and a rap done by this year ' s top student council officers. As Sister Mary Ann reflects back on Nice Icgs.Almee Miller and Brian Zimmer have fun while putting on skits for the incoming freshmen. the orientation she remembers, The juniors did their best and carried the day, and the freshmen had a fun transition into their first year at St. Joe. All in all the activities de- creased the anxieties that many freshmen feel that day. Even though they thought it would never happen last years ' freshmen are finally soph- mores. Last years ' sophmores, now juniors wait for next year to be on top, and last years ' juniors finally get to rule the school. Although the opening days of school are always an adjustment, the students and fac- ulty seemed happy and excited about all the new opportunities that were sure to come their way this year. Hey Boo Boo. Mike Ellgass, Gus Swanda, and Pete Horvath rap up a great day of orientation.
