This year ' s fall play, The Diary of Anne Frank, was directed by Mrs. Jane Syburg. It was held at the Saint Mary ' s O ' Laughlin Auditorium on Oc- tober 22, 2i, and 25. Andrea Goulet, a talented freshman, played the leading role of Anne Frank. Otto Frank, Anne ' s father, was played by Mark Geissler, and Edith Frank, her mother, was played by Ann Walton. The other mem- bers of the cast included Katie Garvey, Tom Houk, Jay Lewis, Rebecca Goerner, Doug Graczyk, Sarah Brad- ley, and Dave Wallace. The tone of the play, unlike past years, was serious. It was chosen to bring to mind the tragic reality of the 1940 ' s. Another reason this serious play was chosen was due to the availability of funds. Top — Mark Geissler as Mr. Frank explains lo Anne the meaning of her new diary, which was a gift.
