Varsity Tennis and Coy VARSITY TENNIS: Kneeling-Don Fallon and Bob Cousins, Standing-Geroge Dalton, Mike Piserchia, Walt Healey, Frank Mackinson, William Luckhurst Don Campbell, Tim Carey, Steve Markovics and Coach Robert Fischer. Donny Fallon readies for the return Last year two new varsity sports, tennis and golf, were introduced at St. Ioseph's. Mr. Geogheganis duffers gained valuable experience at the hands of such stalwart opponents as Roselle Catholic, C.B.A., Edison and J. P. Stevens. Metuchen High fell thrice before our stickmen. Finishing with an 8-3 record, Mr. Fischeris netmen pleasantly surprised the student body by battling their way to the semi-finals in their di- vision of the state tournament. For the 1967 season, both teams should be among the best in the county since nearly all of the players are underclassmen. Returning to the world of shorts, serves and slams will be seniors Walt Healey and Steve Markovics and juniors Don Fallon, Bob Cousins, and romping back to their clubs, chippies, and caddying are seniors Ray Gerity who finished seventh in the County junior tournament, Ray Sliva and Juniors Mike Lampe and Bob Toryak.
