1966-our second senior class-our second EVERGREEN. Much has happened in the short year between publications. We have a superb track team fincluding the state record forthe half milej, one of the finest debate teams in the state, and one of the best speakers in the country. St. Joseph's is now Well-known throughout the state, with headline-makers in many activities. But St. Josephis is more than boys winning races or debates. St. ,loseph's is the little things that don't make the headlines: a Confraternity clothing drive, a thriv- ing intramural program, and most of alla group of dedicated men striving to educate the future leaders of our country. THE EVER- GREEN is another part of this complex system, trying to present an enduring record of what our school is, and what it does, as well as what it accomplishes. One of the unchanging and Vital per- sonalities of St. ,loseph,s is Brother George. In over a half century of service to God in the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Broth- er George has fulfilled superlatively a va- riety of assignments: Christian educator, Postulant Master, Principal, Vocational Director. Although our paths cross infre- quently, to every St. ,loseph's student Bro- ther George mirrors the qualities and attitudes our teachers are constantly pre- senting to our eyes, especially the image of a manly piety and a genuine selfless- ness. The Brothers' residence has long been the beneficiary of his unceasing toilg the poor of Middlesex county have been, the recipient of his unflagging charity, We as students have been privileged to be inti- mately associated with a veritable man of God. He is the kind of man we are all striving to become. For us he concretizes the Christian ideal of manhood. To Brother George then we dedicate affectionately and gratefully our EVERGREEN '66.
