If, 1 A YEARBOOK LIVES FOREVER ... Phase 73 is a photojournalistic exercise in spontaneity, in priceless memories and in capturing people in the act ot being people. Additionally, Phase 73 is a student yearbook in a more complete sense than ever before. This volume, funded in large part by student subscriptions, replaces the activity fee-sponsored book of many previous years. In appreciation, the staff and editors owe gratitude to our Advisor, Mr. Charles Schuttrow, for his patience, guidance and sincere friendship; to his wife Delores and to Mrs. Betty Fenters for their contributions of hard work and time. We thank Root Photographers, especially photographer Dick Ware, for his many quality prints and his amiable concern with Phase 73. And finally, thanks is extended to Taylor Publishing Company and our agent, Jim Bell, who helped make this book and its production a meaningful, learning experience. Here is a yearbook that will live forever, carrying the story of Saint Joseph’s during 1972- 73 into the late 1970’s, the 1980’s and even the 21 st century. So when you subscribers review these pages in the months and years ahead, our work will not have been in vain if you can effectively relive this school year. “Happiness isn’t having what you want but wanting what you have.’’ The memories this book unfolds are yours — you have them. The memories you have — may you always want them.
