Five players were so severely burned with lime that they were incapacitated for two to three weeks. Their absence from the lineup probably accounted for a couple of Cadet losses. The com- bination of heavy rains and excess lime on the field lines teamed together to produce the lime burns. Koerner, Bollig, Leiker, Beecher, and Haremza were the victims.
