0 5 FOOTPRINTS Four years have passed since our timid steps first brought us to the Prep. Each year as we have grown our stride has lengthened. and what were the footsteps of little boys have become the steps of a1most men. In this book we will reminisce, but more often our eyes will be on the future. Our steps are leading us into the world of adulthood. We hope that as you examine on these pages our footprints of the four years iust ending, you will see them not only as marks of past accom- plishment. but as shadowings of future promise.

In grateful recognition of Mr. Earl I. Hart, who has won our un- bounded respect not only as an able teacher, but also as a friend, we, the seniors, dedicate this book. We will not forget the facile wisdom of his teaching technique. While preparing us diligently for school examinations he showed us methods of study which will aid our college work. We looked forward to Mr. Hart's period each day, for he had mastered the rare art of inculcating lasting knowledge through pleasant humor. Enviously we covet the lot of the underclassmen who can look ahead to his periods, while we must look back upon them. Fortunately, we were treated to Mt. Hart's efficient tutelage both in first year and in fourth. He will hold a unique place in our memories. May Our Lord's grace be with Mr. Hart always, and may this small token of our sincerest appreciation partially compensate him for the long hours he spent in making us better Catholic men. 8:15 a m Mr Hart reaches the Prep
