Z E OF the class of nineteen hundred and forty complete our four years at St. Josephs simultaneously as the Society of jesus celef brates the four hundredth anniversary of its Confirmation as a Religious Order. A coincidence, true, but a coincidence with deep significance. For Catholicism, in the person of the Society of jesus, is so entwined with our lives that it is, indeed, our life. Religion, its influence, its practice, is the very basis and start of Jesuit education. Cn a morning last September, faculty and students of the Prep knelt in the Church of the Gesu, earnestly imploring that the Holy Ghost might enlighten, guide, and strengthen them during the course of the coming school year, much in the same fashion as Ignatius and his companions had knelt, four hundred long years before, at the feet of Four FORE
