FOOTPRINTS One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he zvas walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the ski flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of hi j flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed thc mny times along the path of his life there ivas only one set of footprints. L aWo ' mfl that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. r This really bothered him and lie questioned the LORD about it. LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you ' d ivalk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don ' t understand why when 1 needed you most you would leave me. The LORD replied, My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. Duri your times pf trial and suffering, when you see only one set of hen thatyl carried _ u,β€ž footprints. xnayi 24 ' o - f n I ' 25 Dear Graduates of the Class of 1989, When you elected to attend St. Joseph ' s College, you made a life-time decision: you became an integral part of a long and distinguished tradition. As with any editor 1 have had my sliare of problems. But I feel that when each of us looks back on all the time we spent in Room 101, we will realize that it was worth every minute. I hope that in years to come, every student who appears in this book can pick it up and experience ivonderful memories of our years here at St. Joe ' s. Thank you to everyone who helped in producing this yearbook, either by handing in pictures or by working on layout, photography and design.
