The Senior Class of 1985 dedicates this yearbook to S. Anne Behre It seems appropriate to dedicate our yearbook to a member of the faculty whom we consider to be a member of our class. We began together learning about registration, ice-breakers, credit requirements, and the Swamp. We danced together at the Awards dinner, laughed at the plays, and dressed up at the Great Bridge Event. Your smile, warmth, silly jokes, guidance, and willingness to listen eased our transition from freshmen to seniors. Thank you for showing us what a truly good teacher is. Thank you for sharing with us. m ' - Β βΌ Β« . , M B H i H m ,1H I often think that people we have loved and who have loved us, not only make us more human, but . . . I I they become a part of us and we carry them around all the time - whether we see them or not . . . And in some ways are a sum total of those who have loved us and those we have given our- selves to. -Anonymous 1_. .. β , HH H Hs β’ Tj r-T-- β’iffll mm M HB 10 11 ill 9 1 M fl _β, f A m .j? I was looking for a picture of you, but my eyes rested on one of myself. So much has changed, yet nothing ' s new. I recall days my voice filled with song and nights spent racing with the moon. Amongst ourselves, we say: It took ' so long! Alone, we think: It came too soon. Perhaps we haven ' t grown at all but, instead are born again. Children, playing dress-up in adult clothes, not at all men and women. This overcoat is overlarge. The sleeves, too big, hang to the ground. The legs, in ripples, gather there. Now my money sings, but makes no sound. How do you walk in those high heels with any semblance of grace? And hang the moon upon your ears, with silver talons paint your face? We played in carnivals, these years gone by where mirrors changed us: Up and Down, End to End. On carousels heard painted horses speak then, laughing sadly came back home again. Now we ' ve jumped on life ' s carousel where horses ' secrets are not told. Round and round and round we go! To grab the brass, and pray for gold. 103 SE NIOR DIRECTORY Blanca Acevedo β Apt. 15T 91 Boerum St. Brooklyn NY. 11206 Christine Agostino β 1534 83 St. Brooklyn N.Y. 11228 Tom Ahern β 107 B 222 St Breezy Point N.Y. 11697 Geraldlne Arnold β 80-52 87 Rd.
