MORE STUDENTS SPEAK ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES AT GENERAL STUDIES Upon arriving at St. Joseph 's most of us knew very few of the people here .... As each class turned in to semesters so also did our friendships grow, which extended themselves outside of the lecture room. We received peer support and always the support and encouragement of our professors along the way .... All the support in the world will not keep unless there is the personal dedication of the student. This is something that the working adult returning to college does not lack. A college education at this point in our lives is more costly than for the students proceeding directly from high school. We are usually attending school after eight hours of work and have families to tend to. As a rsult of these factors we have tried to extract as much as possible from this experience. J . ,f .
