On September 26, we entertained the Freshman Class fl- f with an al fresco affair. After enjo ing tennis, baseball, and ' 0 Pj f croquet, we closed the day with refreshments in the lounge. . Nqr 4 spirit in St. loseph's Welfare Society by helping to fill baskets for the poor, and by d' sing the less fortunate children of X Mtv poor parishes for their P' ommunion. We entertained the Senior Class with a lunche Norwood Hills Country Club to show our appreciation for the h ride given to us by them in October. As attendants to the Ma ueen, we elected lean l-loulehin and Constance Cooke. Sophomore Class When the Sophomores met again at the beginning of this year, they elected as their class officers: Monica Liston, presi- dent: Mercedes Auler, vice-president: Betty Bub, secretary: and Betty Nelson, treasurer. The opening of the school year included the initiation of the Freshmen as well as several other parties. lust before the Christmas holidays the Freshman and Sophomore classes gave a party in the lounge and after play- ing various games, presents were distributed from under the Christmas tree. When the basketball season opened, the Sophomore team, captained by Bonnie O'Neill, made a creditable showing in the inter-class games.
