The rut 9,8 school year l955-56 was under way. Football practice had, however been in full swing for over two weeks. The brisk September week-ends saw crowds of high school fans and S.L. followers flock to the St. Louis Field to yell themselves hoarse. ln late October parents joined their athlctic sons after the Westbrook game in a get-together at the parish hall. The Freshman initiation and term tests closed the September -October school term.
