Howard Simmons. a Senior and member of the National Honor Society, delights in Mechanical Drawing where he usually reaps A's. 58 SAINT LOUIS HIGH Saint Louis High School is the only Catho- lic High School for boys in the Biddeford-Saco area of Maine. It has an enrollment of 280 stu- dentsg as such, it is readying 280 future citizens and especially Catholics for an exemplary life. lts faculty is headed by Reverend Brother Con- rad who is constantly attempting to provide the best in education to the greatest number of students. To this effect, Reverend llrother Con- rad has given several batteries of tests in order to measure the native abilities of our students. In the Freshman groups he administered the Numerical Ability Test and the Language Usage Test of the Differential Aptitude Bat- tery. The Sophomores took the Verbal Reason- ing and Abstract Reasoning Tests in the same battery. The Freshmen and ,luniors were given the Psychological Examination of the American Council on Education and the Cooperative Eng- lish Test. The Sophomores who so desired took the Kuder Preference Record in order to guide them in their selection of courses for their final years at school. The purpose of this testing pro- gram is to guide the Principal and the student into a wise and prudent decision pertinent to a course of studies preparatory to his career in life.
