It has an enrollment of 280 stu- dentsg as such, it is readying 280 future citizens and especially Catholics for an exemplary life. lts faculty is headed by Reverend Brother Con- rad who is constantly attempting to provide the best in education to the greatest number of students. To this effect, Reverend llrother Con- rad has given several batteries of tests in order to measure the native abilities of our students. In the Freshman groups he administered the Numerical Ability Test and the Language Usage Test of the Differential Aptitude Bat- tery. The Sophomores took the Verbal Reason- ing and Abstract Reasoning Tests in the same battery. The Freshmen and ,luniors were given the Psychological Examination of the American Council on Education and the Cooperative Eng- lish Test. The Sophomores who so desired took the Kuder Preference Record in order to guide them in their selection of courses for their final years at school. The purpose of this testing pro- gram is to guide the Principal and the student into a wise and prudent decision pertinent to a course of studies preparatory to his career in life. In their weekly meetings, the members are encouraged to more frequent communion, trained for various types of prayer, and given the means to develop their own personal virtues. No Sodality is a success unless it be engaged in the lay apostolate -it is therefore a duty of each mem- ber to participate in charitable and apostolic work within their milieu. To carry out such a program the Sodalists taught catechism to pre-school children. dis- tributed food baskets to needy families of the parish. organized the Coronation of their Heavenly Queen for the entire student body, and engaged themselves in promoting better attitudes towards marriage and fam- ily life. December was a hectic month of activities. It got under way with a Saint Louis night which treated the school musicians and athletes to hot dogs, ice cream and games at the St. ,lean Baptiste Hall. A week later the entire student body was con- secrated to Mary on the eve of her Immaculate Conception. The following night, at the Wonder- bar, the annual footbal banquet was held. The third week of December saw the glee club join the band in presenting its annual Christmas Concert. Rest Assuredf' this year's Senior Play, sparkled with life on December 17. Oratory followed drama. Members of the speech class delivered orations on the Constitution of the U.S. before the Christmas vacation began. During the holidays the girls' Sodality presented a Christmas skit and distributed baskets to the needy. ln contrast January re- affirmed studies, exams and regular school life. The smile of victory beams on Roger Painchaud who won not only the school award but also the county runner-up prize in the American Legion Oratorical Contest.
