Ideals of physical culture and ideals of knowledge are mere stumbling blocks if moral ideals are not ever on hand, now to curb the ones, now to direct the others. At Saint Louis High, these superior ideals are instilled into the students during the dailymorning talks and during the lessons of ethics. Eager to further their know- ledge of Heavenly things and to better their relations with .sigh-1,5 ii., E vig I 4 di' 2.1.25 During one of the weekly meetings their fellow men, some fifty students yearly band together to form the organiza- tion known as the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin. During their weekly meetings, these potential leaders of tomorrow, either study some Christian ideal as exemplified in the life of their Heavenly Mother, or, under Her watchful eye, plan organizations that will benefit either their own spiritual life or that of the entire student body. Apilgrimage to Alfred, a communion breakfast, a stamp collecting campaign, a drive for Christmas baskets to help the poor, are a few of the many activities of this organization.
