St. Joseph's, from the eyes of the student, is a well designed hospital intended to give its patients the ultimate in care and comfort. It is a non-profit hospital conducted by the Poor l-landmaids of Jesus Christ for the people of Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. ln the past few years the hospital was remodeled and the completed structure was dedicated in May of 1966. It offers the student an up to date, fully equipped setting in which to gain the clinical experience which is so much a part of her nursing education. Besides the usual hospital facilities, St. Joseph's provides an Intensive Care Unit, Occupational Therapy Department, Physical Therapy Department, Cobalt Radiation therapy, and an all new Surgical suite. We, the students, are proud to work and learn at St. Joseph's, and to call it ours , We know the education and experience we gain here will be complete. We meet patients from all walks of life with varied illnesses. All of them look to us for help with hope in their eyes. We learn not only from our patients but also from the doctors who so generously give of their time to answer our many questions. ,We work under the guidance of our instructors and with the help of the staff nurses.
