Future Teachers n Sara Palletto, as President of the Club, has the respons- ibility of choosing stories to be used in lessons by the junior teachers in the group. Sister Dolora, club moder- ator, gladly helps in this department as she discusses one of these stories with Sara. At one of the monthly meetings of the Future Teachers Club, junior Nancy Cansberg addresses the group with a report she prepared. Nancy formed the first Future Teachers group at Egbert Junior High School. The report explained the success Nancy had with the classes she taught. The responsibilities met by Nancy warranted a special award from the school. 57

Library Club Keeping the Library functioning properly is the job of the Library Club. Sister Genevieve, as moderator of the club, teaches the girls all a librarian needs to know. They are given the tasks of checking the lending and returning of books, and making sure all newspapers, maga- zines and books are in their proper places. Responsibility is given to club members when Sister occasionally permits them to open the Library in the morning. Sister tries to instill in her junior librarians a sense of pride in their work through her instruction. Hope Herald is one of our library ' s most conscientious assistants. One of the many duties Hope performs as an aide is checking the return of books. Working in the reference room are the senior members of the Library Club, T. Cemelli, M. Reed, Vice-Pres., B. Loperfido, Pres., E. Zanfini, Treas., and C. DeLillo. The girls are adding the back pocket to several reference books. t 56
