Treasurer f h lpluin and Guidance Director Freeing from an undesirable past, imparting knowledge in the present and counseling for the future-these are the triple roles of Father Mat- thew F. Kohmescher, S.M., chaplain, religion in- structor, and guidance director. Besides confes- sions and other spiritual functions, his duties as chaplain include directing the Sodality. Father Kohmescher teaches religion and gives occupa- tional guidance. Froni the looks of things there seems to he a deal in the making, probably something to do with finances Brother Herman J. Thaner, treasurer and one of the pioneers at St. Joseph High School. He has been a Marianist for over 40 years, spending half of them as treasurer at Cathedral Latin, prior to the opening of St. Joseph in the fall of 1950.
