Penny Votes Determine King, ueen Of Hearts g,A0ffG ,fo Each year the Library Club sponsors the Valentine Dance. All proceeds from the dance are used for the im- provement of the library. This year the dance was held on February 11, the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The king and queen of hearts are chosen by penny votes. Each homeroom elects their candidates, who cam- paign for about a month. The room with the most penny votes wins and their candidates are king and queen of the dance. Usually the winners are not announced until the evening of the dance. Seniors Theresa Moran and Frank Nicholaus of homeroom 12-2 won the election and reigned as king and queen of the Valentine Dance. x ,ff f r Here with the president, Frank Rino, are the Student Council: SEATED: Elywna Hepp, Mercy Marquez, Carmen Rodriguez, Marcella Gonzales, and Susan Uebelher.
