Ed Dehaemers, Bob Arehart, and John Heiling sing the Offer- tory humn, accompanied by Dirk Yates during a Sophomore Mass. Religion Students Diversified Religion courses taught by Father Forge, Father Sheeds, Sister Mary Joyce, Sister Annette, Sis- ter Jean, Sister Patricia Ann, and Mr. Kean were keyed to helping youth realize new means of knowing God. While movies and collages helped introduce new con- cepts to the Freshmen, Sophomores were stimulated by group discussions on such topics as the elements of honesty. Junior Religion classes, looking toward the future, did research on occupations with their own spiritual in- sight. Senior students, choosing a different course each quarter, studied Evolution, Marriage and Family, So- cial Problems, and Personalism. To the amusement of Joan Sakaitis, Lynne Buckley, and Bill Ma- lone, Father Sheeds threatens to hang Jerome Nunnik by his heels. Cindy Brown, Kathy Bartlett, Nancy Shepherd, and Norma Zahner listen to Larry Asher's report on Java Man.

Sister Kathleen explains Aristotle's Poetics to Tom Arehart in Drama Survey class. xiii S fri if Mr. Brown explains the use of parallelism for emphasis in writing a composition. V Coach Campbell is impressed with Keith Taschler's persuasive speech. junior-Senior English New electives offered variety and individuality in Junior and Senior English classes. Composition, Drama Survey, Short Story, Satire, Film Study, and Science Fiction were taught by Sister Kath- leen, Miss Homan, and Mr. Brown. Sister Joan's Sophomore English classes studied Greek, Shakes- pearean, and Modern Drama while Freshman studied the field of literature in general. Coach Campbell,s Speech classes arranged their own speaking order in demonstration, pantomine, and persuasive speeches. The Advanced Speech class studied the speeches of famous orators in an infor- mal manner. A
