a t li er J ci u l A. J of-l-er On October 7, St. Joseph ' s High S c h o o 1 was visited by the Good Father Paul J. Hoffer. Father Hoffer entered St. Joseph Lane to the accompaniment of the School Band with the high school students flanking either side of the Lane. The students filed in behind Father Hoffer ' s car and followed to the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary where Father Hoffer delivered a short talk. Classes were resunned until activity period when Father Hoffer gave a talk on the privileges of American freedom and the scholastic rating of the school. The Good Father ' s talk centered around the idea of the Primary purpose of the School. This is the formation of personal thinking and the development of the whole man, which is in reality another Christ. Father Hoffer, Superior-General of twenty-seven hundred Marianist priests and Brothers who teach seventy thousand students throughout the world, has traveled five continents visiting the schools under his juris- diction.
