1912-1956 Old Time ww Of the many activities which were created by the needs of the times, some have been changed or adapted. When the school was thriving on Main and Church streets, surprise parties lunches and spring picnics were arranged and taken with great joy and pride' Now the Mothers Club gnes the boys a treat of ice cream for their Class Picnic at the end of the school year It also yoms them in the Spring Frolic Bazaar on the new school campus ex ery year Picnic As years passed the Club dropped some projects while others were enlarged upon At one time a S5 00 bill was well spent for 20 library books Financial stress and expansion of money value has enabled the Mothers to expand and extend their help in the care of the modern St joseph s High Under the direction of later Presidents such as Mrs Claude Riley C19501953 Mrs H C Moreau C19531955j and Mrs M Miori C1955 J the Club has continued the outstanding work begun by Mrs Welder As our diary brings our thoughts to present day activities, a visitor needs only to visit on the school grounds to see tangible proofs of the Mothers latest works 1 P ii.: Cafeteria workers St Josephs Band aided by both Mothers and Fathers Clubs Although much time has elapsed since the humble beginnings in 1912 the school is justly proud of the record of its Mothers Club The Mothers of yesteryear prouded for us then so too we know the present and future members of this organization will continue to give their untinng dewotion and loyalty to the support of St Josephs 7 Y 7 , , V A 1 ii , , H Q ,, 1 i , . 1 ' ' ya . . . - , . .
