M The 1953 vp i'Yii-LCPCE-S'Y b the Senior Ciass oi Yubiished if Si. Xoseph High Schooi Manisiee, Michigan V oiume VH Graduation is the clima.x of four years of hard work mingled with laughter, parties, sports and studies, in which we gained a better knowledge of ourselves and our ideals. Each day we laid another brick in the foundation for our future lives--lives re- quiringa strong character, leadership and a clear knowledge of our faith. Now we are at the threshold of a new life and must say farewell to all those who have guided us through our many pro- blems. For the past few months most of us have been struggling with the all important question of what field of endeavor should I enter or what course of study should I pursue. Now with minds made up we look forward to making our decisions real- ities. May all of us enjoy the fruits of success. In the near future we will be leaving St. Joseph High School for these new fields. We pray that God will bless us with good fortune in the coming years. 4 'H Contents Administration Student Body A Classes Activities l Athletics Dedication It is with heartfelt gratitude that the Senior Class dedicates this 1953 HILLCREST, to you, our parents. To gain thejoy of seeing us graduate from a Catholic High School is the realization of your dreams. We realize you have sacrificed much in order to give us a good education. You have not only cared for our phy- sical ills, but have guided us through the struggles and disappointments with which we were faced. With God as our Guide and His Blessed Mother as our Mediatrix, we step forth to take our place in this world of turmoil, strengthened greatly through your efforts. We pray God will reward you for your sacrifices. 6 Administration Our Spiritual Leaders Through our four years at St. Joe High we have observed the tireless efforts of Father Ben and his able Assistants to make our school a credit to our community. Now we are , ,Njx starting a bulldmg program which will result in a much l needed high school. It is through Father Ben's efforts that these improvements are constantly being made. To you dear Father' Ben, Father Ed, and Father Dennis we say thanks and may God reward you for your efforts. St. Joseph Church JW X . flltas. REV. B.B. ROGUSZKA Pastor N 5 5' ,Q a , by f REV. E.
