From the time the Blessed Virgin. the first Christo her P y brought Christ into the world, other Christ-beaiw ers have endeavored to carry Him always to their associates. Father Keller realizing that anti-Christian groups are working to eliminate the fundamental principles upon which all Christian civilization is founded, initiated the Christopher Movement to com- hat the trend toward Materialism. lt ts the work oi Christophers to strive earnestly to integrate into their own lives the truths and examples of Christ, and to induce others to do likewise. Having as their motto, It is better to light one candle than to curse the darknessuz and as their greatest power love for all men, Christophers try to accomplish a great work, the leavening of the multitude with Fhristian ideas. They do this hy positive constructive action, especially in tields of government, unions, journal- ism and teaching. The seniors have prepared them- selves to go out into the market place as Vhristo- phers, letting f'hrist's light shine through them. In the 1951 HIl,l,f'RFST. the seniors show how their student life has trained them to be t'hrist-bear- ers. with Marv as their model.
